Mario Marasà,
dottore in Lettere Moderne, nasce il 7 febbraio 1974 ad Enna, dove attualmente vive ed opera.
Manifesta qualità artistiche fin dalla sua infanzia; frequenta brillantemente l’Istituto d’Arte di
Enna, dove consegue il titolo di maestro d'arte, prima e la maturità, dopo, abilitandosi così nell’utilizzo di varie tecniche pittoriche.
Attualmente partecipa attivamente ad associazioni artistiche e culturali di vario genere e ad
estemporanee, collettive di pittura e concorsi di pittura organizzati da diverse associazioni culturali in ambito regionale e nazionale. Ha realizzato diverse personali di pittura, riscuotendo
successo e un vasto consenso di pubblico:
Le sue opere, di soggetto sacro e profano, sono accomunate tutte da un profondo anelito
all’introspezione e alla meditazione spirituale, in cui la realtà diviene per l’artista il pretesto per entrare e far entrare nel sogno, nella fragile dimensione poetica dell’esistenza
umana.
Attualmente, attraverso un accurato e attento studio del volto, si dedica alla pittura dei
ritratti.

Mario Marasà nasce ad Enna il 7 febbraio 1974: frequenta e si diploma all’ Istituto d’arte nel
1993.
Da subito l’artista dimostra una spiccata sensibilità per l’arte, esprimendosi con ottimi risultati
sia in ambito pittorico che poetico.
Con forza cromatica, amplificata da una straordinaria fantasia capace di superare i vincoli della
semplice elaborazione, l’artista riesce con lucida consapevolezza ad elaborare problematiche esistenziali del nostro tempo sublimandole con estrema raffinatezza estetica nel particolare
linguaggio della pittura ma soprattutto del suo stile ormai molto personalizzato.
Cromaticamente privilegia tonalità sobrie che in talune tele si scuriscono ulteriormente per
contrastare oculate accensioni luministiche che danno spessore alle figure.
Le composizioni pittoriche di Mario Marasà sono frutto di ricerche svolte con impegno serio e
costruttivo sia sui contenuti che nella composizione.

Artista e studioso. Il maestro e pittore Mario Marasà, tra surrealismo, simbolismo ed espressionismo, offre l’anelito capace di superare il proprio sguardo sul mondo, alla ricerca delle sostanze sognanti che appartengono alle esistenze di ognuno. Una concezione artistica, la sua, in cui prendono vita i turbamenti e le emozioni più significative. Emerge il bisogno di pensare e immaginare la realtà come“superata e trasformata”, fino a «sublimarla e renderla visibile agli altri come qualcosa di soprannaturale». La sua corrente artistica si può codificare senza esitazioni «oltre il realismo». Nei suoi dipinti compaiono elementi ricchi di simbolismo, di figure geometriche che danno spessore ed espressione a ciò che lo stesso artista intende rappresentare. Predilige la figura umana, che, a volte, quasi schematica e semplificata, predomina nelle sue tele. Essa, infatti, spesso guida l’opera e, da sola o insieme ad altre figure, cerca sempre un contatto, che non è solo fisico, ma anche e soprattutto spirituale e trascendentale. Una figura umana sovente incorporata all’interno di un paesaggio marino e a oggetti che, non per caso, hanno un valore e un significato ultraterreno. Il tutto rarefatto da trasparenze, da figure schematiche, da linee che la abbracciano quasi come ad appropriarsene e a renderla un tutt’uno con ciò che la circonda. Immensa la passione nei suoi lavori, la stessa che infonde ai propri allievi nei corsi di disegno e pittura. Tra i soggetti che predilige, traspare la figura sacra. Per il maestro, l’anima è indiscussa sede delle emozioni, quelle più recondite, quelle perdute, quelle da ritrovare. «La pittura è il voler esprimere ciò che difficilmente si riesce ad esprimere con le parole, soprattutto precostituite – confida Marasà – con la pittura voglio esprimere ciò che è contenuto nelle zone più profonde e oscure della mia anima. Non mi soffermo sulla realtà, vado oltre, oltre l’evidenza, oltre il visibile». Salta agli occhi e al cuore che le composizioni di Mario Marasà derivano da ricerche e voglia di condividere il proprio essere. His artistic movement can be codified without hesitation "beyond realism". In his paintings there are elements rich in symbolism, in geometric figures that give depth and expression to what the artist himself intends to represent. He prefers the human figure, which, at times, almost schematic and simplified, predominates in his canvases. In fact, she often guides the work and, alone or together with other figures, always seeks a contact, which is not only physical, but also and above all spiritual and transcendental. A human figure often incorporated within a seascape and objects that, not by chance, have an otherworldly value and meaning. All this is rarefied by transparencies, by schematic figures, by lines that embrace it almost as if to appropriate it and make it one with what surrounds it. The passion in his works is immense, the same passion he instills in his students in drawing and painting courses. Among the subjects he prefers, the sacred figure shines through. For the teacher, the soul is the undisputed seat of emotions, the most hidden ones, the lost ones, the ones to be rediscovered. «Painting is the desire to express what it is difficult to express with words, especially pre-established words - confides Marasà - with painting I want to express what is contained in the deepest and darkest areas of my soul. I don't dwell on reality, I go beyond, beyond the evidence, beyond the visible ". It leaps to the eyes and to the heart that Mario Marasà's compositions derive from research and the desire to share one's being. A well-established modus operandi that is always in constant evolution, almost like a tireless research, of discovery and re-discovery of oneself and of the world.
